Do you drop ship your products?
No, we don't.
Each lantern is finished by hand in Melbourne Australia by us. Some items, such as LED components, are sourced externally. Woodwork finishing, final assembly, art creation, printing and selection.
This all requires individual touch and attention to detail, in house.
Where is Daisugi Lanterns based?
We are a Melbourne-based design studio specializing in ritualised Japanese Ambient Light featuring unique and purpose created watercolor art.
What is the return policy?
We offer a 30-day return and exchange policy. Items must be returned in their original condition within 30 days of receiving it from shipping provider. Item is to be returned exactly as it was packaged, thank you!
Do you have a warranty?
We offer a 1 year manufacturers warranty on our items. If any problems should occur, we will replace or repair for you.

Where are your products made, and by whom?
All lanterns are made in our workshop, in Melbourne, Australia, and is a team effort!
When will I get my Lantern?
We ship products immediately after completing the construction of your own individual and unique lantern
This usually takes around 3 - 7 business days, depending on which state in Australia you are in, and availability of materials.
International shipping usually takes a couple of weeks, again, depending on country.
If stock is sold out, we have a wait list!
When will it ship after ordering?
Items are shipped immediately after creation. 95% of orders arrive within 2 to 7 business days of ordering for an Australian address.
Is the wood finish non-toxic?
Daisugi Lanterns are finished with multiple coats of raw linseed oil. This is a week-long process of staining and drying , and the oil is natural, non-chemical, and safe.
What if my lantern arrives damaged?
We take great care in packaging, but if your lamp arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours with photos, and we’ll arrange a replacement.
Are these available in a physical store?
We currently operate online only. Our workplace in located in CBD Melbourne.
We welcome visitors to come and pick up, or to stop by and purchase the lanterns in-person.

How do I operate the light?
Daisugi Lanterns operate from a simple switch on the cord.
The LED > USB nature of the light means it is portable (can operate off a power pack) or can be plugged into a USB charger into the wall - much like a phone charger.
The charger / wall plus is not supplied so you are free to fit it to the charging items you have.
